Throughout the year, cities around the country hold ZERO Prostate Cancer Runs/Walks, but the biggest push comes during the month of September, which is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
In fact, no other prostate cancer charity spends more per dollar on programs (more than 85 cents). ZERO puts every donation to good use.
This summer we're gearing up for the 2019 run/walk, which will be held on Sunday, September 8, beginning at Newton City Hall. Greater Boston Urology is proud to be the local presenting sponsor once again.
This year's event features a 5K run/walk, a 1-mile walk, Kids' Superhero Dash for Dad, and a virtual "Snooze for Dudes" program (you're just going to have to attend to find out what that last item is all about!).
After the main event, we encourage everyone to stick around for a family-friendly post-race celebration. Participants will receive shirts, free food and prizes, and the opportunity to connect with other people impacted by prostate cancer.
It's always a fun day, and it's an incredibly important day as we all endeavor to truly make this a ZERO-prostate cancer world for everyone.
