Greater Boston Urology was well-represented at the ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk event on Sunday, September 13, 2015.
With an abundance of excitement about the event’s success, Greater Boston Urology’s team had a great time and a very rewarding experience. Although it was raining, it didn’t damper anyone’s spirit. “We all had a terrific time,” said Les Cavicchi, MPA, NHA, Executive Vice President.
Greater Boston Urology was represented by almost 60 people wearing “Team Greater Boston Urology” t-shirts, including Greater Boston Urology team members and family from almost every office participating. “Special thanks to Dr. Bouche for his long distance trip from Falmouth! In fact, our organization won two awards, one for being the largest team at the event, and one for being the top team for donations.” said Cavicchi.
Dr. Michael Curran was a featured speaker. Phil Lipof from WCVB NewsCenter 5 was the Master of Ceremonies, and Team Greater Boston Urology met Bill Rodgers, the 4-time winner of the Boston Marathon.
Some of Team Greater Boston Urology participants even won medals for their speed and racing prowess.
Greater Boston Urology wishes to thank everyone who participated, and especially those who helped raise both money and awareness for this important event. Special thanks also to Beth Mog, Human Resources Specialist, who handled many of the behind-the-scenes details prior to the event. Many GBU staff and family members also supported the set-up and take-down of tents, tables and other equipment for both GBU and the race organizers. This activity was very much appreciated.
