(BOSTON, MA) – Award-winning Greater Boston Urology (GBU) physician Dr. Michael J. Curran, M.D., will be speaking at the Sharon Men’s Club on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 9:00 AM at the Sharon Community Center to discuss the importance of optimal prostate health.
“I am honored to be invited to address the Sharon Men’s Club,” said Dr. Curran. “I will use this valuable time to discuss the how’s and why’s of prostate health. This is a very concerning and important topic to men. Greater Boston Urology is pleased to provide wellness education to help members of our community.”
Dr. Curran will discuss PSA screening, prostate health, BPH (Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy) and the importance of seeking the advice from urologists regarding prostate health.
“We are hopeful that our audience will learn something that will help them in their everyday lives,” said Gerald Kerzner, who is organizing the event.
According to the American Cancer Society, about one in seven men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime, and it is the second leading cause of cancer death in American men. The average age at the time of diagnosis is about 66.
Dr. Curran attended medical school at Indiana University, where he was voted top urology student by the residents and faculty. He was awarded a First Prize in Clinical Research by the American Academy of Pediatrics, Section of Urology. He was also named a Scholar in Urology by Pfizer Pharmaceutical Corporation. As a renowned medical doctor, Dr. Curran is a much sought after speaker and presenter, throughout the nation.
