Dr. Iorga is the full-time pathologist and laboratory director of Greater Boston Urology. All urologic physicians within Greater Boston Urology send tissue and other samples to our laboratory daily for analysis and diagnosis by Dr. Iorga. Our laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists. Dr. Iorga is responsible for test selection and clinical efficacy, quality assurance, scientific accuracy, physician / partner communication, reference laboratory relationships, and accreditation and regulatory compliance.
Dr. Iorga is a Board Certified physician in the areas of both anatomical and clinical pathology, as well as in hematology. She was a visiting fellow in the Urological Pathology Consult Division of Johns Hopkins Medical Institute. She was also a Hematopathology Fellow at the Albany Medical Center. She attended Romanian educational institutions including the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila,” and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Gr. T Popa” earning degrees as a Microbiologist MD and General Practitioner MD. Dr. Iorga is a licensed physician in ten states. She is the author of numerous clinical articles and has presented research results at several professional meetings.
