We were thrilled to be featured on American Health Front, America’s most watched medical news program.
Greater Boston Urology had two segments in this program. We know how overwhelming it can be to take in complex medical topics after only one quick viewing, so we wanted to provide additional resources here.
Urogynecology & Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy
In this segment, you met our dynamic duo, Dr. Angel Marie Johnson, our urogynecologist who serves as the director of our Women’s Health Center in Dedham, and Alicia Jeffrey-Thomas, our pelvic floor physical therapist (also in our Dedham Care Center).
Here’s some additional reading to check out:

Note: Currently, pelvic floor physical therapy is available to GBU patients only. You can make an appointment with Dr. Johnson or one of our other fine physicians to discuss your symptoms and to determine whether pelvic floor PT might be right for you.
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) for the Treatment of Prostate Cancer
Dr. James C. Lin, who was one of the first doctors in Massachusetts to perform HIFU back in 2016, discussed this incredibly effective, minimally invasive treatment for prostate cancer.
Note: As of 2019, if you’re a Medicare patient, you’ll be covered for the cost of HIFU. We do expect private insurance to eventually cover some or all of the costs in the near future (the situation is fluid, which is often the case with newer procedures).
